This auction is for a sterlingsilver
Sugar Spoon
in the "Ionic" (1850) pattern made by John Polhamus.
This Sugar Spoon measures approximately 5 7/8" in length and weighs 21.6 grams or 0.69 troy ounces.
It is marked "JP Patent" with what looks to be "1851". It is also marked with retail mark of "Cook & Goodman".
Cook & Goodman were retailers in Louisville, Kentucky (1864 - 1869).
This server is in excellent condition with a lightly gold washed bowl. It is monogrammed "EML".
