This vintage larger than most wooden case was produced by International Silver/Holmes & Edwards to hold Sterling or Silverplate flatware, designed for a service of 16 plus serving pieces.   This case has a great vintage look with surface indents, scratches, tape blemish, a small slice off the back edge (see close-up photo), staining loss and varnish crazing (most likely from buffet drawer or closet storage) - please see all photos.   The
BEST
aspect of this case is it's vintage nice interior with expected color fading in certain places but NO rips or odors- please see all photos.     The case has

slots in the cover for dinner knives and
11
slots for spoons, forks and serving pieces - there is a narrow gap at each end for the two additional dinner knives
