Description
Antique George W. Shiebler & Co. New York, NY, sterling silver .925 gold wash open bon bon candy nut serving spoon, in the are No. 3998 pattern, & it is NOT monogrammed. The bowl is open, as well as the end of the handle, with hints of remaining gold wash. The spoon measures approximately 5 1/4 inches long, & weighs .905 ozt. The back of the spoon is marked 3988 sterling, along with the winged Shiebler mark, & Bigelow Kennard & Co (silversmith from Boston, Mass,1867-.
The spoon is in good antique estate condition as follows;
NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME SCRATCHING, WORN WASH & WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE. THERE IS GLARE & REFLECTION IN SOME OF THE 10 PHOTOS.
