    Description

    A rare and beautiful APOSTLE SPOON
    crafted by New Orleans Silversmiths, one of 12, hallmarked STERLING. This spoon is a real work of art, amazing
    detail on both sides.  Each spoon has a handle depicting one of the 12 apostles. Below, a figure holds name plaque of the corresponding
    apostle with the face and wings of a cherub just below.
    This spoon represents St. Thaddeus, also known as Jude, son of James, or Lebbaus.
    5-3/8" long, 27 gram weight.
    After a great deal of research, I have only found one other example of spoons from this collection. It has exceptional weight and beauty. In fine condition, see all photos.
