Presented is a wonderful Amston sterling silver pie or cake server. This piece is made in the elegant Tyrolean pattern, which began production in 1905. This pattern features lovely scrolled foliate designs on the handles, similar to Amston's Gladstone pattern but with more room for monograms. The server is made all in one piece, with a solid sterling silver blade and handle. The blade is a good size, large and wide, and this piece can serve big wedges of pie or cake with ease, though it could also be used for many other serving purposes as well.
This piece is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern's design are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The server is stamped with the Amston maker's mark as well as sterling on the stem.
