    Description

This beautiful Lucerne pattern was designed by Henry L. Wallace in 1896. It was made for many decades after that.  This 60 piece complete set for 12 (with no specialty pieces) was brought back to America by a soldier during the war (WWII). The "Stainless Steel" marking on the steel knife blades (which have silver handles) indicate to me that it was probably made later than 1896. This pattern was made throughout the 1900s.
The set includes the following. No pieces missing:
    12 Knives, 9"
    12
    Forks, 7"
    12 Salad Forks, 5 3/4"
    12 Teaspoons
    ,
    5 7/8"
    12 Soup spoons 5 3/4"
I have not cleaned the silverware, leaving it in its present condition. All pieces are good, no strange bends or damages. Some tarnishing and light abrasions. Not used much. If you want to see all 60 pieces laid out in photos, both sides, that can be arranged prior to purchase.
With the wood box it weighs 8 lbs, probably around 10 lbs to ship in a big box with a lot of packing materials around the silverware to keep it from moving. The wood silverware box does not have any name or identification on it and is not an essential part of this set.  You can opt to leave it out of the shipment. Just let me know and we can re-calculate the postage.
All pieces are marked "Wallace Sterling" except for the knives which say "Stainless Steel" on the steel blades. However, the hollow decorative knife handles are made from sterling silver, just like the entirety of the rest of the flatware.
Silver value is hundreds of dollars but this Lucerne pattern is very rare.  No one else has it listed.  This pattern has a lot of ornate shapes on the handle and even down lower on the forks, even on the backsides. I don't know if you would call this style Victorian or Baroque. You decide!
