Durgin Sterling Louis XV 7 1/4” Cheese Scoop

Description

Very ornate sterling silver cheese scoop in the Louis XV pattern by Durgin Silver Company. Durgin was an early prestigious maker of sterling. The company was acquired by Gotham in 1924.
The cheese scoop is marked STERLING with a D (Durgin’s Hallmark). It is 7 1/4” L. It is monogrammed with the initials GSH on the front & AEH on the back. It is a high quality piece with the pattern appearing on both sides.It is in very good condition and is heavy for it’s size.
