Coligni by Gorham, 5 3/4" long Sterling Cocktail Fork(s), one of six available, monogram MF, circa 1889, weighing 24 grams average each.
Gorham mark, Gorham MFG. Co. mark, Sterling mark, Copyrighted '89 mark.
These rare and elegant forks are in very good condition with light use marks overall, pattern detail is excellent with no wear.
Rare gold vermeil wavy tines have moderate wear to tips and heel. Three forks have closely spaced tine tips and the three forks shown in photos have slightly wider spacing. Not a big difference but worth mentioning.
No removals and no damage issues.
An outstanding example of seldom used and well cared for late 19th century estate silver.
Lightly hand cleaned with Goddards silver polishing foam.
The final finish is a medium luster antique with pattern patina. Ultrasonic cleaned and ready for table service.
