    Description

This is a 17 piece lot of Sterling Silver flatware in very good condition from State House Sterling, a division of Home Decorators, Inc.  It is in the Formality pattern.
    The 17 pieces include:
    4 Teaspoons
    4 Dessert Spoons
    3 Vogue Forks
    4 Vogue Knives
    1 Sugar Spoon
    1 Butter Knife
Also included in this lot is the Original Walnut Wooden Case that is lined with Pacific Silver Cloth to help prevent tarnish. I am also providing all of the original paperwork that came along with this purchase back on April 4, 1949 by a Miss Hazel out of New Holland, PA. including but not limited to:  Original Bill of Sale, SILVERQUETTE (A quick guide to correct table setting by Home Decorators, Inc., "A Treasured Possession" pamplet, Guarantee's that came with the original sale, Insurance Certificate, a letter from State House Sterling's President, E. E. Serverson, and a Warranty Bond. + More.
Please note:  There are only 3 forks (not 4) in this set.
These sterling silver pieces weigh a total of:  500 grams exactly (not including the knives) - knives are typically estimated to be 20%-30% silver in weight. So each knife weighs 69 grams - 20% of 69 = 13.8 grams of silver/knife x 4 knives = 55.2 grams of silver in the 4 knives.  So, in all, there is roughly 555 grams of sterling silver contained in these 17 pieces.  The current price of silver is 79 cents/gram.
