    Antique 19th century French sterling silver tea caddy spoon, scoop. Featuring a scalloped seashell shaped bowl, and elegant handle tipped with a stylized shell motif. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. Measures 4 1/4" length. Weighs 20 grams. Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, which depicts the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to denote a silver content of .950/1000 (of 95% silver and higher than the standard .925 for sterling). Bearing maker's marks for Henin & Cie, this mark was in use from 1875 to 1891. Measures 4 1/8" length x 1 7/8" wide. Weighs 22.8 grams.
