HARD TO FIND, ANTIQUE 6" LONG YOUTH / TEA FORK AND
7-3/8" LONG YOUTH SIZE / TEA KNIFE WITH HOLLOW HANDLE AND
STEEL BLADE FROM THE
"IMPERIAL QUEEN" PATTERN NAME OF STERLING SILVER FLATWARE
MADE BY WHITING MFG. CO., USA
THEY ARE PERSONALLY MONOGRAMMED,
KNIFE DOES SHOW PLATING LOSS OVER THE BLADE,
FORK WEIGHS 23.1 GRAMS,
KNIFE WEIGHS 40.4 GRAMS
The knife has plating loss around the edges and does have light pitting over the blade and is more of a filler piece.  Otherwise, both are monogrammed with the script initials EE and they show typical wear from use and storage, including surface marks and scratches, and scratches over the tines of the fork.  They have been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and they have nice shine, and are very clean.
Fork is hallmarked on the back of the handle and the knife is marked on the side of the handle STERLING PAT. 1893, along with the W and lion pictomark for historic and listed USA silversmith, Whiting Manufacturing Co.
If you happen to have an existing heirloom set of silver from this pattern, this is a great opportunity to add these to expand your set or to fill missing holes you've been meaning to!  Even if you don't necessarily need these pieces, adding more adds extra resale value to your set if you ever choose to sell it, while being a great silver investment at the same time!  A much more hard to find accessory set!
