ANTIQUE CIRCA 1884, SIGNED "JK" - JOHN KILPATRICK & CO.,
MADE IN LONDON, ENGLAND,
HAMMERED BOWL, STERLING SILVER 925,
3-7/8" LONG, SHORT PORRIDGE / SOUP SPOON
IT IS MONOGRAMMED, TOTAL WEIGHT OF 16.5 GRAMS
It is monogramed on the top of the handle with the initials EAG, otherwise, it shows light wear from use and storage, including minor marks, scratches, and it retains a deep level of original patina over the Sterling surface due to aging.  It has just been lightly hand cleaned, has nice shine as it is, is straight, not bent, with no major issues at all.
The bowl is nicely done in a hammered finish, while the rest of the handle is smooth.  I am uncertain to the purpose of this type of spoon, possibly a porridge or soup spoon.  It is clearly hallmarked on the back of the handle with the JK in a quatrefoil shape hallmark for John Kilpatrick & Co., along with the UK standard marks for London, Sterling, and the date code for 1884.
