Presented is a very nice old sterling silver pastry/dessert server, all hand engraved, likely made by Whiting.
It is stamped "Sterling" for sterling silver.
It is also marked by the retailer.
The piece really looks like it was made by Whiting, although I could not find this specific pattern listed online nor in Tere Hagan's Sterling Flatware guide.
It likely dates to circa the 1880s.
It was made in America.
This piece features amazing hand engraved lilies, cattails, scrolls, and ther designs.
The business end is an especially stunning work of art!
