Pyramid-Styled Shape Design On End Of Handle
This Art Deco, Danish Modern designed serving utensil, has a
Assay Master Mark from the well-known Danish silversmith,
Johannes Siggaard. This Danish Assay Master Mark is the capital
letter "S" with the letter "J" inside of it.
There is also an Assay Mark of H.Gr. which stands for Hugo Grün (1918-1937)
of Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Danish Assay Mark is that of Three Towers with the year "1938" written
below the towers. This was a form of certification of the silver's purity that
Denmark established starting in 1608.
The fourth stamp into the stainless steel handle is stamped "Rustfri"
which is Danish for stainless steel.
The pyramid design on the end of the handle is slanted at the top. Please refer to pictures.
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS:
The server is about 7.75 inches long
The silver handle is just under 3 inches long
The stainless steel serving spade is about 5 inches long
and 1-7/8 inches wide at its widest point
